Charles Robert “Chuck” Montgomery, age 77, US Air Force Vietnam Veteran and retired Tinley Park Police Commander, went to be with his Lord and Savior on May 2, 2025. Beloved husband for 55 years to Donna, nee Biesboer. Loving father of Jean (Bill) Murray and Brian (Sharon) Montgomery. Cherished grandfather of Amber (Jarod) Lindberg, Brooke, Aeryn and Giada Vaccarello, and Robert Montgomery Murray. Dearest great-grandfather of Jason Charles Lindberg. Preceded in death by his sisters Virginia Flannery and Peggy (Mike) Sinks. Dear uncle of Janet (Tom) DePalma. Dearest son-in-law of Betty Biesboer. Fond brother-in-law of Duane (Barbara) Biesboer and the late Denise Biesboer. In addition to his service as a dedicated Tinley Park Police Officer and Commander, Chuck shared his knowledge and passion as a part-time instructor at Moraine Valley College. After retiring from the Tinley Park Police Department, he continued his commitment to law enforcement by serving as Deputy Director of NEMERT, overseeing in-house police training. A proud graduate of the FBI National Academy, Chuck also had the honor of serving as President of the Illinois Chapter, exemplifying his leadership and dedication to the profession. Visitation Wednesday, May 7, 2025 from 3-8PM at Colonial Chapel, 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park, IL. Visitation continues at Orland Park Christian Reformed Church, 7500 Sycamore Dr., Orland Park, IL on Thursday, May 8, 2025 from 9:30AM until time of Funeral Service 10:30AM. Interment with Military Honors to follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
